It seems Manchester United showed a little too much of their hand in their eagerness to sign Real Madrid and Spanish striker, Morata.
News filtering seems like Real Madrid had upped their asking price to 80 million pounds, which is really a huge ask for a player who did not see lots of game at Madrid.
Jose Mourinho and Manchester United had made it clear it was their main target and no other option seems to have been pursued. And it seems now Real Madrid is taking advantage of their eagerness or Zidane just do not want to let go of Morata, as he may still be part of his plan as a fringe striker.
It seems Morata is also eager to rejoin Jose Mourinho at Old Trafford, as he has reportedly made his intention known that he would love to join Manchester United.
Morata who is presently at his honeymoon has been reported to have reached out to Real Madrid in seeking his move to Old Trafford. Morata was given his chance at Real Madrid by Jose Mourinho before his move to Juventus and enjoyed a successful in Turin, helping them to the Champions League final which they eventually lost to Barcelona and a league title.
His most memorable moment at Juventus was scoring the goal that knocked Real Madrid out of the Champions League.
